Super King Air B-200 Update

Here is the long overdue update for my B200! I completely re-mapped all of the mesh for the fuselage, wings and nacelles. I am including a paintkit created usingInkscape. One .SVG file for the fuselage and nacelles, another for the wings, and two more files for the fuselage and nose rivets.Download Inkscape for free here:http://www.inkscape.org/en/download/ When I get time I will create a paintkit .psd (photoshop) and also a .xcf (gimp) Of course you could always create your own by opening the .svg file with inkscape and copying all the individual layers (from bottom to top in order) into your favorite graphics editing program then saving in that format.

I would love to see some repaints for this update.

6 Liveries included with this download.

- 4 repaints

- 1 color guide

- 1 your paint

The default repaint is the Blue and white with Gray and Gold striping I created using inkscapes' node editor.

I incorporated quite a few changes and additions for this update.

Just a few exterior mods including:

- reworking the shape of the exhaust stacks

- adding pitot tubes

- modeled the cooling ram air inlets on the top of the nacelles

- tweaked the tail section a bit

- added animated supports to the other side of the cabin door

- added rivets to the fuselage, tail section and wings

- simulated textures for the nacelle engine compartment latches, ice lights and bleed valve exhaust

Wing ice lights functional. Operate via a switch on the lower 3d panel...a dimmer switch on the overhead panel... and one on the 2d panel.

I added lighting attributes to the object files so the lights can be controlled manually (not just come on automatically when the _LIT textures start to kick in at dusk) Same goes for the lighting in the 3d cockpit.

3D Cockpit modifications:

- Due to numerous requests, added a pilot and gave him a headset. Visible in exterior view only.

Thanks goes to Austin for permission to use the default 172 pilot object!

- Added custom altimeter and airspeed instruments. I will eventually model the complete standard 6.

- Built custom annunciator panels. Upper warning and lower advisory.

- Built fuel control panel. Partly functional. Fuel quantity gauges operational... and the crossfeed flow switch works. Standby fuel pump switches actually operate the main fuel pumps for now. The rest are just fake switches at this point.

- Added the co-pilot breaker panel. Just "eye candy" textures for this update. But laid out and ready to build!

- Started work on the overhead panel. Gauges not yet animated but all light switches functional.

- Compass modeled

- added an autopilot "flip-down" panel beneath the glare shield for ease of use as well as a WAY over-sized FMS on the lower console. I didn't like having to zoom in to create a flight plan.

- Built a custom galley with animated hand towel which swings with aircraft movement.

- Added a small Lavatory with animations for the door, light switch and toilet seat cover. When the toilet cover is down, the occupancy sign reads "vacant". If you pick the cover up it changes to occupied.

Slider animations:

- Port wing locker is hooked to slider 1--- Starboard to slider 2. (shift+F1, shift+F2 by default)

- Main exit latch is controlled by slider 3 ( shift+F3)

- Open the main exit with slider 4 (shift+F4)

- Raise/Lower Pilot and Co-pilot Arm rests with slider 5 and 6 ( Click spots near the back third toward the inside of the arm rests)

- (Slider 7 reserved. No function)

- Raise/Lower padded seat cover in Lavatory using slider 8 ( Click the seat cover)

- Open/Close Lavatory door with slider 9 (Click the door knob) You can also Click on the light switch to turn the Lavatory light On/Off

- Hide/Show autopilot "flipdown" panel under the glare shield with slider 10 (AP button on the 3d panel)

- A few objects are hooked to bouncers... A rose (for the lady pilots smile.png ) ...a coat hanger... and the towel hanging in the galley.

- Still the original flight model. I tweaked the trim settings a bit for better handling at approach speeds.

- 2D Panel is still a simple modification of the default B-200. Only change here was adding the light rheostats for the wing ice lights and the tail logo lights. (bottom of the fuel panel)

Look forward to any and all feedback on this model as it stands.

I will continue to update this model with improvements from time to time.

Big thanks to Upkeep for testing and feedback!

FOR BEST FRAME RATES ON SLOWER SYSTEMS -

Un-check the "Use pixel shaders for fog and water effects"under the "performance rendering options" section within the "rendering options" under the settings tab on the menu.

Seems to really gobble up the frames.

Enjoy!

Update to the update:

added a few things that were overlooked including-

- flight director/autopilot switch

- decision height rheostat for radar altimeter

- outer ring on the #1 fuel flow gauge that was missing

- changed the oil pressure to oil temp/oil pressure combo

- new vertical speed indicator with VS set needle

- fixed the textures for the autopilot select knobs
