  • New  PBR texture on fuselage for X-Plane 11
  • Flight model defined according to the specifications of the real Akoya.
  • Constant speed propeller managed by the CSC-1/P instrument : this instrument is custom coded and works as the real Akoya
  • Functional virtual 3D cockpit.
  • Retractable wings.
  • Panoramic windshield with reflections.
  • Integrated systems: Start sequence, EIS, custom warnings.
  • Custom sounds: engine, rolling, gear, flaps, canopy ...

Awesome plane! Just be sure to take off in the wind or else you're going to spin out.

Impressive. Brilliant

But why does the download works with Mac and not with Win 10?

I am having a problem with the SkyView, The right view do not have any colour.

It is black with white numbers., I have no problem with my other Aerobask planes.

But if I get this in order I wil give it 5 stars, It is fun to fly it.

Problem solved, You have now 5 stars😀

It’s great a great plane... but how do you get the bottom left buttons so you can do walk arounds and remove the remove before flight flag as I can’t do that either.

Good work done on this plane it is easy to fly and also performing good on landing. My test flight went well and managed to land onto a gravel runway in somewhere in the jungle of South America/* This become an other plane into my favorite.

Great little plane.

Despite the reviews, it actually functions correctly and is very fun to fly.

The only issue I had upon my first time using it was that you actually have to press buttons to start the engine, but easily fixed w/ the included checklist.

When I start flying in this aircraft my sim crashes for no apparent reason.

Did I not install this aircraft correctly?

It is a lot of fun; it's also one of the sillier designs ever, up there with 1940's automobile-plane convertibles and the like.  If I were young and pretty and lived on an island (in a very calm lake or sea), this plane would be great for jaunt into town or a picnic outing.  (Spec says 250kg useful load and 670NM range, but it feels like half that on both counts, though I'm certainly wrong.)

Very fps friendly.  Better views out the sides than front, great w/ multiple monitors in panorama, higher graphics settings than most planes.  It's slow, so enjoy the view.

Definitely pays to Read The Fine Manual (there are two w/ the plane, one specific to X-Plane use) before flying - that will address many problems people report.

Beyond that, it's a tail-dragger in many ways:

  • Pull well back on the stick and keep it back during takeoff roll - that will prevent spinning problems.
    • Trick/practice is knowing when and how much to relax approaching Vr, else you'll launch like a rocket.  XP will let you get away with that (plenty of time to push the nose back down), but I suspect that the real plane might stand on its tail on the runway at that point.
  • "Best"(?) landing technique is also an old tail-dragger favorite: Stall 1 ft from the ground or water, settle with as little speed as possible.  Good luck w/ that! (Practice stalls at altitude.)  You can glide in gently, but keeping control on the ground, while keeping the plane on the ground (no bouncing!), can be challenging.
  • But unlike most tail-draggers, more weight is back over the tail, so the plane tends to pitch nose up on any power increase or decrease.  Don't try to dump a lot of power late in landing.

Some other notes:

  • Dual-mode fixed pitch prop, 99% for take-off/climb and 70% for cruise.  If you can't take off for lack of power, check the pitch!
    • Probably a minor bug, but if you have a joystick axis set for prop pitch, then the plane does respond to it over the whole range.  It's easier to fly as variable-pitch, but that's "cheating". ;)  You're supposed to leave pitch at max (or unset that axis) and use the toggle on the panel.  Maybe, if I had a touch screen.
  • Water landing and take-off is fine, but turn down the wave action.  Unless you like skipping stones, er, planes.
    • Handling on the water at low speeds is bad: E.g., you'll continually see a wingtip in the water, though with no physics effect.  Maneuvering close to a dock is hit or miss, or mostly hit and crash.
  • Personally, the hardest thing I find is keeping it level w/o staring at the artificial horizon.  I have not yet acclimated to all those gently curved surfaces, cannot find a good eye fix for turns, or even straight and level flight.  Tempting to inscribe a line on the windshield.

Wrote too much, counter to the "too hard" reviews, because it's really too much fun to pass up!

Someday I should try landing in a 10kt crosswind... that ought to be hilarious.

Great plane! It's fun to fly and has a very smooth performance!  In the beginning, I thought you couldn't land on water, but I didn't see the Land - Water modes. To toggle between modes click on the Ground - Water button.

It's excellent, I've had a lot of fun with it. However, I can't take-off without changing my altitude on the map, as I just spin in circles and have no idea why. I've removed the ribbon, set to CLMB, pitch at 99, tried every flap setting, throttle to max... spin spin spin. 😕

I have read : "It is difficult to take off"

Not really: Just pull back your joystick, increase slowly your throttle, give only small inputs on rudder pedals and release  gently the joystick around 45 Knts.

Thanks to Aerobask, great fun !!!
