AutoGate plugin 1.72

Chrome did not work for me, however Microsoft edge did the trick. Not sure about other browsers but most likely they will work also, just Chrome was the problem for me. Now I know when to stop at gates! Happy flying/Parking

Great Plugin in its day - still works fine for airports configured for this -  D- for instructions and user support.   C- for UX presentation/user integration.   

I realize that a lot of people have trouble with this  one and the author leaves  some important info out that should be included in instruction but are not.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW HOW INSTALL AND GET WORKING:   HERE YOU GO 👇

1) JUST EXTRACT AND COPY TO RESOURCES > PLUGINS   (AND RESTART X PLANE)

2)  HERE IS WHAT EVERYONE FAILS TO TELL NEW USERS ---  YOU MUST GO TO CUSTOMIZE OPTION IN NEW FLIGHT/FLIGHT CONFIG AND FIND THE BOX THAT SHOWS 'START ENGINES ON START UP' (OR SOMETHING TO THIS EFFECT)  -  MAKE SURE IT IS NOT CHECKED  -    PLANE HAS TO BE OFF WHEN STARTING YOUR FLIGHT FOR AUTOGATE TO WORK CORRECTLY - THERE IS NO PULL DOWN FOR IT, IF IT SHOWS IN PLUGIN ADMIN YOU HAVE IT INSTALLED PROPERLY - AS FAR AS THE PLANE STARTING-YOU WILL HAVE TO LEARN TO COLD START (OR USE THE START ENGINES OPTION IN THE IN-GAME MENU)

I am amazed the author (and/or forum users) couldn't take a second and help out the new user community with this simple instruction.  Hope this helps! 

3 star out of 5 for lack of updates and evolution of plugin -  it is nice to have but its been years since it was looked at (same plugin was released for x plane 9.  Hopefully we will see an upgrade/improved integration/designer support in the months to come. 

So, I downloaded this together with the 171 and it doesnt work. I read the ReadMe.txt where it said you must download the DGS thingy too, so I searched it up on google and it showed me the 171 version. Am I doing something wrong? Please help, it would be greatly appreciated.

l have installed the AutoGate 1.72 plugin to resources/plugins folder, but in the x-plane plugin information screen does not show AutoGate plugin enabled.  11.7.2020

This is fantastic, I understand that for a ramp to move airports needs additional files. This is by far no moan about autogate just a warning. I purchased EGLL (heathrow) as it stated it supports Autogate. This is correct, however when I asked them about the moving ramp they said I had to contact the author/developer of autogate.

Be careful purchasing any airport. Moving ramps and getting them to work is way above my head.

All the cost and all I end up with is a way to make sure I am parked correctly and does not fully utilise the capability of autogate . 😞

hello, im having trouble with the plugin; i dont know if im not installing it properly but at the top menu on plugins AUTOGATE is not shown but when i go to "plugin admin" it says that the plugin is enabled, what can i do in order to use the autogate plugin...

It sounds great but I installed it on the X Plane 11 and it didn't work. I usually fly the 737-800. 

AutoGate does not work at airports seemingly programmed to have it (jetways, etc.).

Very useful plugin, but I am giving it 3 stars because it has absolutely no user-friendliness whatsoever. The Readme file is extremely vague on how to use it, there is little indication as to whether or not the plugin is working, it has hidden requirements that are not shown in the Readme file, and is just overall something that you shouldn't waste your time on.

I love autogate but it isn't working for some reason. 

why won't it work I downloaded it then when to x plane parked at gate cutted off engines then opens my door why won't it work plz reply marginal ASAP

I'm confused here. What exactly am I supposed to do? I read the Readme.txt file and followed all directions and it is reading as enabled in my plugin admin manager, but it does not work and for the scenery package what do I do for that it is so confusing... If someone could help me go through the process of doing this to get the Auto gate plugin to work I would much appreciate it. Thank you.

It does not work in XP11. At least at my Mac.

Great. This is just the finishing touch I was looking for. Works perfect. However the Symantec/Norton security-scan removed the win.xpl file and I had to replace it. Piece of cake.

I don't really know why but this new version did not work with my custom scenery though v1.6 was working perfectly (Mac OS X El Capitan v.10.11.3 on MacBook Pro). I did not try it with other sceneries and I had to switch back to v1.6 again.

I'm just wondering if you can configure the jetways for multiple boarding doors, like the A380, and if it can reach the upper deck. If not, it would be great if such a system was added in to the mod. It would also be awesome to add gate numbers to the DGS, like the ones seen at RJGG and VHHH. I don't think it's worth buying every scenery just for gate numbers

Great Great plugin but...

can you please add animated walking passengers that are boarding or unboarding the plane. that would be so great. And also can you please make the autogate a bit more accurate to fit the door better. thanks

Hello, your plugin seems amazing, however I have a problem with the installation. I put the file in my plugin folder. When I run x-plane 10, I can not see the plugin on the drop down menu, BUT I can see it on my plugin admin. Can you or someone please help me out? 

I am on a Mac OSX 10.12.2 and i'm on X-Plane 10.
